Push to Break Through
Since I was a Young boy, I have always been fascinated by objects and the life in them. I was always taking garbage and trying to make it into something useful. This has followed me into my art career. I believe that every object, like people, have a perfect placement to display its beauty. I believe an object can have fate. Art to me is the most incredible thing, the highest ideal of the mind, to connect with each other, by creating something that we can't always explain, in the most intimate way. I'm honored that you have given me this privilege. The most important thing we can do as humans is to connect and share our stories. If I am going to monopolize some of your time, I'm going to make sure your mind enjoys it!
Paint of all kinds, some resin, a little gold leaf.... I am always experimenting with materials trying to turn them into something that may have not been perceived that way before. I think its important to try and be as respectful to the world around us as possible. My paint is often reused and recycled whenever possible.
Everything inspires me. I have found inspiration in my husbands eyes, The burning pastels of a sunset, The strict religious upbringing of my youth, and the hard fought battles I have won with my mind. I believe in the scientific theory of other dimensions, I am obsessed with it. I feel special and insignificant at the same time, what does a flower look like in another dimension? What does depression look like in another dimension? What does God look like there? My paintings are scenes of my imagination. I cut them out, place them in time so I can share them with you.
